Downtown living: Enjoy the convenience of being located one block from the center of town. There’s no need to rent a car, as the town of Crested Butte is connected to the ski area (3 miles away) by a free shuttle every 15 minutes. The house is located 2 blocks from nearest shuttle stop. Nearly all of Crested Butte’s numerous restaurants and bars are within 2.5 blocks from the house, and some of the best are just a block-and-a half away. The nearest small grocery store is 2 blocks away, and the nearest large grocery store is 5 blocks away as well as on the free schedule route. The Crested Butte Nordic ski center (with sledding hill & ice-skating rink attached) is 5 blocks from the house.

Getting there: For arrival by air, the Gunnison-Crested Butte airport (GUC – located 30 minutes/ 28 miles away) is served by United Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Airlines. Alpine Express (tel: 970-641-5074) operates a shuttle service to transport visitors from the airport to any address in Crested Butte. Hertz, Avis, and Budget all operate offices in the Gunnison-Crested Butte airport.

Other options for arrival by air include: Montrose, Colorado (MTJ – located 1 hour, 45 minutes away by car), Colorado Springs (COS – located 4 hours/ 197 miles away), and Denver International Airport (DEN – located 4 hours, 40 minutes/ 252 miles away).


Ski storage: As an added benefit to guests, the owner provides a large storage locker (for skis, snowboards, boots, poles, goggles, helmets, etc.) slope-slide free of charge. This locker is located at the base of the ski area inside the Treasury Center in Mt. Crested Butte Village and right next to the main lifts. This convenience allows guests to store all their ski & snowboard gear next to the slopes, a major time- and energy-saving advantage for everyone.
